George’s talk will examine the value of intelligence during crisis conditions and what lessons we can learn from the wars in former Yugoslavia.

Speaker's bio:

George Busby spent thirty years in the British foreign service specialising in intelligence and security issues. In the early 1990s George was posted to the British Embassy in Belgrade during the collapse of Yugoslavia and the wars in Bosnia and Croatia. He was a member of the UK delegation to the Dayton Peace Talks and worked on policy up to and during the war in Kosovo.
